Truly committing to a fit and healthy lifestyle yields countless benefits, but it doesn’t come without its share of challenges. Register for Races

With an upcoming race day serving as a deadline, you’ll be less likely to skip a training walk or run. Not only does signing up for races keep your cardio workouts on course, but it also helps you contribute to your community, as these events typically benefit a local nonprofit organization. At Results Fitness Studio, our clients look forward to participating in the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter Run & Walk for Food & Shelter every April. Each May, we enjoy putting together multiple teams to complete the Gate City Relay Marathon, which supports The Nashua Police Patrolman’s Association’s “Shop With a Cop” event. Plan & Prep

Plan out your meals in advance and prepare several days’ worth of meals at once. Meal planning and prepping will help ensure that your fridge is stocked with healthy options, rendering you less likely to make poor food choices during the busy work week. In other words, having a salad waiting for you as you’re rushing out the door on Monday morning will prevent you from having to grab fast food in a pinch at lunch time. Make Your Own Motivation

For some people, it suffices to make this commitment mentally; others find that writing down their goals keeps them more accountable. Take it one step further and sign up for a challenge that includes the ability to track your progress. At Results Fitness Studio, many of our clients took it upon themselves to sign up for the Run the Year Challenge, creating teams of four and committing to log 2,018 miles total in 2018. Not only has this been enjoyable and encouraging, but it has also fostered some friendly competition.
